Reeder has worked with several industry partners and participates regularly in clinical research projects to pave the way for new treatments for animals. He enjoys lecturing to local and national audiences. Reeder has published numerous articles both nationally and internationally. Reeder founded Lighthouse Veterinary Allergy & Dermatology.Īdditionally, Dr. In fall of 2019, filled with a desire to practice excellence in veterinary dermatology by serving people and pets individually, Dr. Reeder relocated to middle Tennessee and began practicing veterinary dermatology at a large veterinary specialty clinic near Nashville, TN. Reeder served as the senior dermatologist with Animal Dermatology Clinic in Louisville for 8 years. After which, he moved back to his hometown of Louisville, KY and started the city’s first full-time dermatology practice. Reeder went on to complete a residency training program in veterinary dermatology at Animal Dermatology Clinic in Tustin, CA and became board-certified as a specialist in veterinary dermatology in 2008. During this time he further developed his interest in dermatology.ĭr. Reeder practiced small animal medicine/surgery in Louisville, Kentucky for 3 years. While attending Auburn University, he received numerous awards including the Distinguished Veterinary Dermatology Award, Veterinary Neurology Award and Merck-Merial fellowship in genetic research on exercise-induced hyperthermia in the Labrador Retriever. Chris Reeder is a 2003 graduate of Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine, summa cum laude. ![]()
